For today, it’s a post called Did You Call the Banana?
Check back tomorrow for the next “greatest hit.”

MFA

Posted by deborah

I saw that one post had been scraped today instead of dozens, so what I did reduced (but did not completely eliminate) the scraping.
What’s funny is that they scraped a post on “MFA” as in the creative writing degree. What they really wanted was a post about Made for AdSense.

The Dust Congress: Blog Review

Posted by deborah

Michael Kentoff of The Caribbean introduced me (virtually) to Andy Fox at the Dust Congress blog. Andy featured some of my poems last month. He features poetry on Wednesdays and Fridays, and I am impressed with his taste. Both Andy and Michael are those rare humans that — gasp! — read poetry even though they […]

Phone Calls with a Friend

Posted by deborah

Tonight I called GD (not G-D) and we talked for a long time about settling, traveling (she wants to settle and I’m ready to travel) and poetry. I miss those phone calls with her. Like me, she is a bit nostalgic for Florida. How did the hour talking with her go so fast?
We met San […]

World of Poetry with Allen Taylor

There’s a somewhat new poetry blogger in the blogosphere. Introducing…Allen Taylor. I’ve been enjoying his posts for a few weeks now and recently added him to my blogroll (see the links for my entire blogroll page).
Taylor writes about a variety of poetry-related subjects such as writing well, keeping your point in mind and getting […]

Men and Women of the Poetry World

Posted by deborah

Didi Menendez, who seems to have more energy than any other poet I know, started Men of the Web, which is a blog full of interviews with male poets. Lest you think she forget the women, there’s also Women of the Web. I’d not heard of several of the poets on the women’s page. Since […]

Morning

Posted by deborah

I found a poem of mine on this blog. This poem gets republished on a lot of blogs for some reason. I was not able to leave a comment due to technical issues, so I’ll say “thanks” here and hope the blog owner sees this post.

Blog Round Up

Posted by deborah

Eduardo got my postcard and wonders about ketchup. He says he does not eat it because he’s vegan. That I do not understand.

A few poets have said that they would not send their poems to fellow poet-bloggers. Why is this? My take is that the blogging community is like any other. We will know a […]
