Tonight, I may get my ms from a friend. She double-extra-super-latte-proofread the entire book even down to the tiniest little detail. Phew. I am so happy to know someone with those kinds of talents!

I’ve been spending a lot of time calling my grandmother’s friends and family to let them know:
1. She’s dead;
2. When the funeral takes place.
Grandmother knew a LOT of people. I knew she was social, but still — wow.

The basil is starting to emerge. Recently planted more basil, cilantro and Japanese maple tree seeds. Those Japanese maple trees can be $700! Ours is dying, and I plan to replace it from seed. We have two tiny ones starting to grow on their own. I figure at least one has to survive out of these five baby trees.
On Sunday, our gardening expert comes to helps us start our organic garden. Mmmm…fresh tomatoes, mint, and maybe watermelon.

The latest issue of 32Poems is a great read. Strong selections all.
Thanks for the shout out, Deborah. And the new issue of 32 Poems looks awesome. I love the cover and the treats inside are just as sweet! Great read through and through.
