It’s poetry month, and I’m in search of knicker-knocking-off action.
My guess is that Paula Bohince’s Incident at the Edge of Bayonet Woods will do the trick. And since we’re boycotting Amazon here at the 32 Poems blog, please buy this book straight from Sarabande Books.
Another book that I think I’ll like is Field Folly Snow by Cecily Parks. You can get it at Powell’s like I will.
And since I’ve been busy judging books by their cover, let’s look at these two for today’s installment.
This design fits the title perfectly. I like the white and how it works with the coldness of the setting. The angle of the trees adds visual interest.
This simple design contains a pitchfork. It’s completely spooky and all “Little Girl Who Lived Down the Lane.”

Rabbis of the Air (Autumn House) by Philip Terman, Eve’s Striptease (Pitt Poetry Series) by Julia Kasdorf and Murder Ballads (Elixir Press) by Jake Adam York — all three are fantastic books with beautiful covers!
I highly recommend both of Sarah Maclay’s collections — Whore and the brand new one, The White Bride. Both are from the University of Tampa Press.
