Grace Paley died this past Wednesday. Sad, sad news. She came to my home for a party when I lived in Gainesville and was an absolute delight. –sigh–

    I was at that party. I had a really nice conversation with her while snacking on (maybe I’m making this up?) a delicious hummus that maybe Deb made? Grace talked as freely of poetry as she did of prose, though she was more known for her prose. She was so interested in the students. She will be missed.
