A few poets have said that they would not send their poems to fellow poet-bloggers. Why is this? My take is that the blogging community is like any other. We will know a lot of writers in general and a lot of poets in particular. Would I say that someone I know vaguely could not publish my work just because I know them vaguely? Nope.

I “know” poet-bloggers in an odd way. I know a lot about them, yet we’ve not spent time directly communicating in most instances. We have not spent much time together in person.

This brings up two questions for me.

Do people think they know me because they read my blog? Do they?
